I know a lot of people might say Battlefront but I'm too in love with it to agree

I have to give black ops 3 the win for being a crappy game though (compared to the last ones as this one was nothing new)

I don't agree with that all. I don't mind cod but i'm not a diehard fan that buys every cod and only plays cod, but black ops 3 was different for me. And in my opinion one of the best multiplayer shooters this year.
The game has so much content and things you can do compared to others cods, and is such a step in the right direction in terms of content and value for money compared to games that cost the same such as battlefront, but only provide multiplayers, a few customisation options, and a small handful of maps.

Bo3 has zombies, freerun, campaign, a zombies version of campaign, custom games with bots, theatre mode and classic multiplayer with even more camos and customisation than ever, AND THE PAINTSHOP which is one of my favourite additions and I wish all games had it where you can make your own camos. I never expected to get black ops, and so didn't end up getting until several weeks after launch as I was hyped for starwars, but when starwars flopped I picked it up, and have been playing it and still enjoying it since.

Plus the jetpack/wallrunning inclusion makes the game so much more fun

Fallout 4 whilst I liked it, beat the game in a few days and haven't played it since. I don't think it's fair to say it was over hyped though as most of the hype was done by people and not the company themselves. I don't really remember seeing more than 2 trailers released for the game.

Starwars ultimately wins. They have been hyping it up for a long time with their "in the making" trailers, constant teasers etc. whilst I am a starwars fan, I loved the way the original battlefronts played out, and a casual arcade,, sit down and play for 1 hour then get bored game is not something that appeals to me.  

I expected the same from BO3 and Fallout 4.

Another notch on the CoD totem and another game with equally or more hilarious content as the previous Fallouts.

SW Battlefront was definitely the most overrated game of the year and was pretty much doomed to be so when they announced that there wasn't going to be a story mode.  

Sw battlefront and undertale. So over rated. Fallout4 was actually good, its not getting goty type stuff, same with blops3.

Undertale is actually a fun game with a **** community and 4chan backing it.

They pretty much slander anything on steam that threatens its position as GoTY.

And on another note, I feel Metal Gear Solid V's story was pretty goddamn underwhelming in comparison to all the trailers leading up to it.

The supposed cut-content really taints the image of the game and I wish Kojima took the franchise with him when he left Konami aka video game Nazi Japan.

Undertale is actually a fun game with a **** community and 4chan backing it.

Undertale is stupid short and has 0 replay ability. Seriously all endings probably max 10 hours total gameplay time. Seriously its an overhyped game because it's a decent indie game and any decent indie game gets hyped out the ass.  

What was so overhyped about Fallout 4?  

As someone who never really played Fallout 3 and just started playing CoD with BO3 a few days ago, I think they're both pretty good!

Not entirely sure, Far Cry 4 maybe? I enjoyed playing it but it didn't give me the same feeling as Far Cry 3 (since 3 completely blew no.2 out the water)
