I don't know how mods feel about pirating/streaming websites or content, but so I'll preface this by saying I'm not condoning or encouraging it and it very well could be illegal in your country, etc.

Popcorn Time is basically god-tier when it comes to instantly watching commercial/ad-free movies, TV, anime.


You just pick a tab, click what you want to watch, and instantly stream it in 720p/1080p. It works on Windows, OS X, Linux, and Android, all which can be downloaded here: https://popcorntimece.tk/download/

If you're trying to get it to run on Android and you aren't sure which package to install, just install each of them one by one, checking the app after you install. If it doesn't run properly, just install the next one and it'll update/overwrite it. I did this in BlueStacks and after the third package, it ran fine.

There's no iOS app, but here's something you can do if you want to watch from your iDevice and you have a desktop/laptop:

1. Download PTCE on your laptop
2. Download VLC Streamer from the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/vlc-...410036516?mt=8
3. Play a movie until the timeline bar is blue (meaning that the torrent is done downloading, which you can otherwise check by hovering the "eye" icon at the top right)
4. Connect to your desktop/laptop from VLC Streamer, on your iDevice, and navigate to your PTCE cache folder:
   Windows: "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\Popcorn-Time-Community-Cache"
   OS X: "$TMPDIR/Popcorn-Time"
5. Pick which cached movie or show you want to watch and stream it on your iDevice

Using PTCE has probably been my best experience with quickly and easily watching movies and shows, would highly recommend it. The movies/TV selection is very recent and constantly updated, and I don't know enough about anime to make a determination, but I do know there is a huge, scrolling selection:

MovieBox is what I've been using for a while and it seems to work pretty well for me.

So you have to download the application to stream, it doesnt stream from the site itself. Is there anything sketchy when you download it, or is it completely legit with nothing hidden?

Pretty sure it's open source, it's never given me a problem

I get small freezes now and then if I'm playing while it's still buffering and all my seeds drop, very rarely happens

People have been caught by downloading the movies on Popcorntime, I prefer using showbox
