I checked into it. Its verified by Apple, and it doesn't make any changes to your iDevice, and its TouchArcade approved.

It didn't do anything to my iphone either

Most likely the UDID. But it´s really checked by apple (if you want to install it there is such a pop up from apple on the settings that they have checked the app and stuff)
