the best guide i've found *^* for those looking for goggles is this one:

it's easy and the guide shows you what to do!
(but make sure you have the Draisine, duh.)

Items Required: Draisine, Bombs

Items Obtained: Goggles, Plant Bombs, 365 gralats, 5 daily loot items.

remember to go by the Bandit Caves everyday to re-open the 5 purple loot chests. Killing Bandits is another way to get loot, but the drop rates are low.~

Increased chance of finding loot, can sorta teleport you such as using it in bandit cave and ending up in swamp.

It just makes you stay underwater longer. Doesn't increase the chances of finding loot.

Actually...
If you search for previous diving threads, we went over this when it came out... Dusty kindly explained that you need not equip the goggles and that they increase the chance of loot spawning in a nearby tile while you are swimming underwater.
