The server provider typically puts up 'protection' when there's an incident or null-routes the server. If there was an incident on Saturday then they're likely filtering the connection to the server which is causing all the issues everyone is experiencing. The reality of the situation is that it's (unfortunately) easy and inexpensive to attack but defending yourself from the attacks can be significantly harder and more costly. We hope to see the server moved to another provider who can deal with the attacks better soon. It is being worked on it's just being done carefully to try and avoid as much as issues as we can with the migration to a new server/provider. |
