Will OCing my CPU enhance the integrated graphics?

I got a new PC built, just wondering if I can squeeze a little more out of it while I wait for my paycheck to come in the mail so I can buy an actual GPU.

No.The integrated graphics are associated with your mobo and not your CPU so it will not affect it in the least possible manner.

True and not true:

-You are right that overclocking the CPU won't overclock the integrated graphics, it's a separate clock.

-Integrated graphics are actually on the CPU die now. The industry went away from integrated graphics being on the motherboard a while ago.

Hmmm... i didn't knew this...wait,are you talking about the laptop CPUs?

True of pretty much all modern cpus, laptop and desktop. The integrated graphics are on die, on both AMD, and Intel.

An APU is essentially AMDs name for a CPU that also has onboard graphics.

The FX 6350 would be called a CPU

The A-10 7850K would be considered an APU

Intel has integrated graphics, but they don't call them APUs.

Okok i get it now...so the new CPUs AMD makes are called APUs.thnx for clearing that out,i thought they still made CPUs

APUs are essentially CPUs, with graphics capabilities built in. Pretty much all of AMD's new CPUs they're designing all have graphics built in. it's just the way the market is going.

APU is really just a marketing term for them. Intel's CPUs are technically "APUs"
