Guilds are about making friends but also about rivalry towards other guilds for things such as a flag in a tower.

I have noticed guild rivalry going down in the past few months and things have been well.. too peaceful

Tower guilds are always trucing

Spar guilds do not seem that competitive anymore because the same people always win the gst.

other guilds don't have rivals anymore, even the ones that were designed for that.
The game seems to have gone to peace
The douches are now indevidual.

Peace sounds geat but concidering the game does not have the most content this kind of effects more experienced players because their is nothing left to do but collect hats.  

I lead a gang in Ol'West and always ally whoever I can, it makes the process easier and there is less enemies to deal with.

99% of guilds use truces, especially if they are long term

the only reason you wouldn't truce is because you're confident that you're the best guild out and you don't gain benefit from trucing

no they don't, only in Mixed

Alumni does not do the stuff that every other Mixed guild does: no temporary recruits, no merging with other guilds, no fishing for members that give us the best chance to win the GST despite how we may view them as actual guild members, we never enter with 2+ tags, etc.
I've turned away so many people that would give us a higher chance of winning the GST because I believe in sticking with the same people
we've basically used 6 out of 7 of the same people for 5 consecutive GSTs now

US was the same way
it's pretty much a disadvantage to run a guild that values loyalty
not really our fault

we've stuck with basically 6 out of 7 of the same exact people for 5 consecutive GSTs now

we literally disadvantage ourselves by doing this
it's everyone else's fault if they aren't winning

Another issue is that their are not that many big guilds fighting eachother

I remember their was alot of rivalry between alumni and apostles but apostles is currently dead and the only spar related rivalry I have seen is with btk but they ran back to tc before the gst.

My hobby is pissing people and guilds off
and nobody is doing anything so I can see its kinda dying off
I saw 2 guilds fighting earlier but I can tell the leaders are getting tired of it.

BTK bailed before getting the chance to lose
several of their members went to Blackout
WAR also now went to Blackout

hoarding members and entering the GST on multiple tags is what kills guild rivalries, not winning
however, it's probably necessary considering Alumni isn't going to lose unless that happens
winning with integrity and a core group will always be more $waggy than winning at all costs

Alumni will stop entering GSTs after win #12 or maybe if I become staff at some point, and that will potentially create a very big shake-up that makes Mixed more interesting

There used to be loads of "wars" around York town 5 people from a guild would face a 100 enemies...was fun to watch.

I'd like to see a few guilds that truce with no one, would be fun holding back swarms of every guild. I miss the betrayals aswell.

It got heated! But it was good fun, to the title of this thread no guild rivalry isn't dead at all, it will always exist! But for space guilds I'm not 100% sure about but I'm pretty sure some sparrers would have a grudge against others.
