Best FREE Anti-Virus Program?
Fortunately I got a new laptop today and I'm super excited. With that being said I want to keep this laptop "healthy" and clean. So, what is the best FREE Anti-Virus Program out there? Honestly looking for one that provides the best overall care. Meaning it offers security, cleaning, and all that good stuff. It'd be very appreciated if you gave your opinions! Thank you <3 |

Avast is crup, Get Anti-Malware bytes, Removes some trojans that may affect your computer and steal information, Avast did not detect those problems in my computer and I had to download ****loads of programs just to remove a single virus. and Advance System Care might be also good, include Anti Malware Bytes, They work like a team removing virus and problems that makes ur compooter slow. |

- Anti Malware doesn't give you protection through the internet, ie blocking a malicious site - Anti Malware doesn't have a quick scan - Anti Malware bytes doesn't have real time updating and must update it manually Anti-Malware bytes can work along side Avast though (advance system care is crap) |

No ASC is not crap. It's one of my favorite anti-virus systems and always keep my PC up to speed. Lots of options and the scans are quick and easy. Their is a pro option, but you can get it for free. *winks*

What about you dont download any anti virus or unknown programs? Anti-Malware is the only thing a Windows OS need. |

Honestly windows defender and the best anti-virus of all....COMMON SENSE. Watch what you download and click on. But seriously, download Malware Bytes, run that every time you download something or you're unsure of a site you've visited/something you clicked on. Its also good to do regular scans regardless. Remember Malware Bytes (free) is not an active "shield" or firewall, you have to manually open the program and press the scan button, I think you schedule scans though. MalBytes and being smart has kept my laptops virus/crapware free for years. PS: Avast is garbage and Advanced System Care spams you with ads and bloatware. |
