Gold Blobs?

I have understood for a long time that there is a Myth about rare Gold blobs that sometimes spawn at Swamptown. Are these real? Has anyone here actualy ever seen one? Or is it just a Myth?

You get an item called 'gold slime' once you kill it and you can sell it for 20k!
