Ideas for New Baddy Types
Thanks to all those who contributed so greatly to my last thread about more baddy areas, and a special thanks to Rufus and Dusty. If you want to read it, you can read it here. If Graal was to introduce a brand new baddy type, what would you like it to be like? For instance (purely for example, and maybe not a completely thought out idea), An "Explosive Baddy" could be a baddy that uses bombs to inflict damage to the player. They could be slightly faster than traditional green baddies and try bomb the players health down. However, they may accidentally kill/inflict damage to themselves therefore losing the player's kill but could drop a loot item. These would be good for possible quests as they could potentially deal with multiple players at once. They could be blue with red shoulder pads and could not wield a sword. These could also drop 3-10 bombs upon deaths. So do any of you have any better thought out ideas than mine, remember the more information you can describe makes it easier to bounce and edit each others ideas. Have Fun! |

Well, naturally one thinks of Zelda when it comes to Classic (and some of the baddies are obviously inspired by some of the enemies in LttP). Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing skeletons of some kind. Maybe in some new section of Deadwood (Deadwood does need some love since more than half of it was removed). Maybe they just fall apart if you hit them with your sword, and then get back up in a few seconds. You'd have to kill them with bombs. Maybe 3 blasts to kill them. They should have a melee attack as well as a "bone boomerang" of sorts. Might be nice to have a baddy that you have to kill with bombs and is essentially immune to sword attacks. |

Other than that, I love this idea; skeletons sound cool, especially if they were added to Deadwood. |

A baddy that carries a large axe, his slow, but does 1 heart damage. Different types of wizards that shoot fire (these would be dressed in red) and ones that shoot water (these would be blue). Also, I think the map in Classic needs a new update, seeing the new style of the server is really smooth. The map just looks outdated. Plus, those green baddies don't fit the classic style at all. |

This would be cool. Maybe wearing the zorbi helm could prove to help people destroy it? As water and electricity don't mix? Or how would you want it to behave and attack? Maybe they could guard a new part of the quest under the zorbi waterfall, the gfx would be similar to the guards, just have AI's of their own.
Again, this is a cool idea. Maybe they could link these to the 4 graals? A graal for each element, such as thunder, earth, fire, water? |

Then suggest a wind mage! Explain how it could attack and/or any special abilities/characteristics that would apply! The more ideas and scenarios we can collect here increases the chances of Dusty or whoever to find an idea they would be motivated to bring to life!

A giant spider area hidden in a room in the tunnels. Spiderwebs would be everywhere slowing the player, small spiders, that you could catch, and giant spiders, bouncing from area to area attacking the player.

many potentials from link to the past... like that weird slug that dropped bombs (in a few castles in the dark world), the electric blob (that, if you hit it with a bit of magic powder, sang a little song, and needed to be killed by using bomb/boomerang/arrows), the wizrobes (client side only?), the ravens/bee swarms, the 'thief'... i would personally like to see the thief most..

How about a worm like creature which burrows underground you would see a trail to predict where its going to attack you from then it jumps up from the ground and spuds spikes it can not take damage whilst in spike mode however so five seconds before its about to go underground its spikes will go back in imagine if there was five of these to take down !
