Whenever I open the game, it gives me a stupid error message saying that it can't connect to the server or whatever and that I should check the Internet connection. It's been doing this for a couple hours now, I've tried everything i can to fix it, and nothing works.

Btw im back from my several month long break from era.  

Check you internet connection, even if its on reconnect it. Then try.
Delete and re download app.
Try playing from pc then go to ios.  

Im in ios. If I redownload the app it will delete everything...
Also I've disconnected and reconnected to meh Internet.

If you delete the app it won't delete anything you own, trust me. Also, if you're identified already then there is absolutely no way it could possibly delete any of your items. If you're still experiencing difficulties I'd give it a day or two, but you really shouldn't be having that problem. If you keep getting this problem I'd try shooting an email to one of the administrators, maybe they can help.

Do you identify? If you do then you can just log in again. Even if you don't, I'm not sure it even deletes progress if it's download again. I've had games I deleted and re-installed that have saved progress.  

Just to test and see if progress is lost when the app is deleted, i downloaded Era+ and made a new account (I play on normal era) and when I deleted and reinstalled Era+ everything was gone. Plus I can't identify because I share an email with my mom and if she sees what Era is ill have my iPad thrown out the window.

You can always create a Gmail...  

I have before and I always end up losing the password within a week.
Also, from what I've heard, doesn't identifying delete everything?  

Buddy you've got it all wrong. Make an email (lol) and just write you password down somewhere. You could probably even just stash the password in the notes app on your iPad, easy way to not lose it. When you identify you don't lose anything. Identifying allows you to transfer all of your items so that you don't lose any of your hard earned stuff. It's quite easy really.  

Child. I know that identifying saves yer stuff, but from what I've heard for some people it glitches and deletes everything.  

No reason to be condescending, I'm trying to help you. Nobody that I know has ever had a problem with identifying so don't worry. You really shouldn't experience any difficulties with identifying. That system has been out way too long to have as big a problem as that.

Really, you didn't think to update the app? Yah, that's probably where you're getting your difficulties from, updating it will fix everything.  

I remember now about updating it. It seems i just ignored my brain when it told me to update, lol
