When making a gun, is it required to make a sprite at a 45 degree angle?

Not at all unless you're going to make the gani special such as putting it on your back or a suit case to make the gani look smoother

Depends really. I find that walk/run ganis made using 45 degree rotations can be hawt. However this only really works for SMGs and pistols. Small guns basically. Otherwise it looks stupid.
