hmmm lets see things to do in classic: pking (running around killing other players) with the only benefit being having your name and guilds name if your in one on a daily or weekly list. Because lets face it unless you hardcore pk for the next 5 years you will never be on the all time list with the other no lifers. Gets boring quick. I only go out of my way to pk if i'm racing a friend or closing in on a milestone. sparring (traditionally 1 v 1 matches to see who can hit who 6x first) again no real reward unless you get into a spar guild than I think you get a hat if you get enough spar wins or something like that. Again no chance of getting on the boards unless you are a no lifer and/or no how to cheat/lag/glitch/blink/boost the right way(I wanted to get all of them in there as to not start another long pointless flame war over sparring). Gets boring after a little while only tournaments every 4 months would be better with leagues/seasons,more tounys. rps-very limited atm only like 3 left you can do that I can think of. Should be more you can do,or do repeatedly for gralats. RPI'm not 9-12 I don't do RP. No reward in it. Eventsalmost non-exsistant when I worked a graveyard shift I always seen more events being hosted during the us early am hours than there ever was in the later am hours, afternoon, and evening hours. I mostly see Zinnia and 1 other admin run events in the us afternoon-evening hours where as there was like 4 events most nights in the us am hours which I think is crap. Most events are chance which noobs almost always win. change it up for the love of god. shoppingearning gralats is time consuming and pain staking wether its farming or running a shop or catching bugs. If you don't want to dump real cash for gralat packs it takes forever to save up even with pyrate bay and its twice as long if you pay for vip every month. toweringvery time consuming,to much drama specaily when your guild is close to 1k. To many irrating people that spam and or don't help much. And like I said before if you only have an hour or 2 of online time a day you shouldnt get in a towering guild because you will probably get kicked for space/inactivity, and your not helping the guild much by hogging up a roster space when your not on much I see this all the time in the guild and those people act like they help alot and deserve to be perm. questsI spend half my time waiting in the pond for the dumb blob that doesn't spawn often enough because I'm afraid to miss it spawn because you knows when it will pop up again. As for pyrate bay its usually crowded but doesn't take long. In a nut shell if there was a couple mini games added and another daily or half daily "quest" you could do it would make the game a lot less boring. |

If we're going to have threads like this, it would be nice to see more arguments being made to support their vote using given instances. Rather than the usual bickering of restating the claim of it simply just being boring, or being fun because you say it is. In short: if it is boring, then what makes it boring *for you*. Or, if it is fun what makes it fun? For me, I find it lackluster, not due to the lack of updates. Spare me some gralats, and I'll create something interesting to do or to see. To me, it is boring because of the similar routine cycles I go through while playing the game. Log on, chat, earn gralats, chat some more, log off. The next day: Log on, chat, earn gralats, chat some more, log off, repeat. The cycle only ends when I've gathered enough gralats to create something for my entertainment, or I no longer have any interest in continuing. The latter is the more common cause of my disinterest. Repetition without any sudden changes is what causes boredom for me. Eventually, no matter the motivation you have to accomplish something you reach a breaking point where you need to stop, and take a break from the routine. It will only become harmful if you don't. It is better to take 5 minutes away from work, to sharpen the saw blade than to continue cutting the tree with a dull blade for an extra 45 minutes. Nevertheless, the lumberman will become weary himself if he allows himself to continue without properly attending to his own needs. |
