To the Graal Community

I've already thought this thread through, and i'm prepared to be bashed. Come with what you will. I guess this is complaining? I don't know, but I gotta say it.

I just see too many threads with arguments and flame wars over the stupideous things(Spar, Guilds, People, etc...). I guess you can call it another version of highschool. I see people leaving because of the community, and I don't want that. I want this community to grow, not decrease in its numbers. This game has potential of a great community. Arguing and complaining has gotten people no where(unless it was for a debate). The mind is such a horrible thing to waste. I honestly think the reason the theory for us only being able to use 10% of our brains is because how stupidly we use them(We actually use 100%, start acting like it please).

People say that the guilds fail because of leadership, well its probably true because being a Leader is about being inspirational to your members, not giving them orders and authoritizing them. If you want to be a leader, you need to have a goal, to stand against those who think they're more better, more higher in power, thats being a leader. Doing this, and your guild/gang/squad will not fail.

As for sparring, people complain about lag, walling, and warping because its all about the competition. People say its for the fun, but is it really? No, its not. Now that we have a leaderboard and keep track of our losses and wins, it'll always be about the competition, who's the best and who isn't. Back then it was spar for kills, THAT was when it was about having fun.

Graal is a 9year old plus game, why can't we act like 9year olds and just learn to have fun? Ok, maybe that sounds a bit ******ed but you get the point.

This isn't to just one particular set of people in a certain server, this is to EVERY graalian. I'm sure i'm not the only one who wants to see the Graal community grow. As long as we argue, complain, and bash each other on the most absurd reasons, people will look at this community as trash.

Keep the threads ON topic, don't make it about someone else in particular, or a certain group of people. You see great threads being closed because of arguements, and honestly thats not fair to the person who put their own time to make it, be thoughtful people. Learn to benefit the community, or just leave. We don't need Graal being crappier than it has become because of the people.

All i'm saying is deal with it and learn to make the best out of it instead of being negative about every god damn thing

So what ur saying is get rid off all the action we get on the forums Seems like a great idea why are you trying to make everyone stop arguing when people have a right to state there own opinion.further more you are not in a position to model the forums in to what you think it should which isnt fair because im pretty sure there has always been arguements

If I was saying to get rid of the action, I would've specifically said that. If I wanted to model the way the forums should be by my own opinion, I would've stated that. What i'm saying is think before you post, just in a more specific way. I'm not here to control anyone, because I didn't make this site, in which it is not my property to say "Do what I want or be gone." So don't assume my own words in which was not stated anywhere in this paragraph.

the truth is that Graal is a social game and it's a joke to consider it ever being played "competitively"

This isn't really going to solve anything. You're not going to attract new players by simply "making the community more friendly". This is basically a rant about how you personally don't like how most of the Graal community act. Anyone who supposedly quits because of the community obviously didn't find the gameplay that great in the first place and were only really playing because they liked to socialise.

This brings me to my next point: Graal as a game is awful. I'm sorry, but until Eurocenter decide to start paying their developers and get dedicated work done (not bashing, but intervals between updates is astounding and at times, the updates might not live up to the wait), they can't hope to attract an even greater community, and no matter how nice you try to make the current community, not many people are going to want to join just to socialise with strangers and collect hats.

By all means, be more friendly but it's not going to attract new players as much as you think.
