2011-2012 - iClassic
2010-2011
iClassic I'm back! ![]() Brought UnLoved back from Babylon. Finding iClassic as an Application blew my mind. After quitting, again, for two years, my favorite developing game came to a device I always have on me. My goal was to become staff and teach everyone what I've learned. I still did the latter but becoming a member of the staff team never happened. I have my own theories of why not, but I'm honestly not sure. Reamzonia/Astram I asked around and found a PC server I could try developing on. Finding out they created an online tile editor, I was seriously happy. I had just started University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with my Associates of Fine Arts under the Graphic Design track, and wanted to get my hands dirty in development once again.Starting my iClassic Portfolio ![]() My fix to someone's building. See images. The first server I found was with Astram, whom ignored me for 1-2 days before asking me his favorite color, yellow I believe he said, then adding me to the levels team. I really only wanted them to add my graphics, I was working on a new sword template. He completely ignored all my requests but I continued to work as a LAT on the server. Eventually a huge amount of lats were fired except for myself and another. The guy I was working with, after constantly telling him not to, placed tiles over my temporary tile-sheet while I was working. After all the other staff members were fired, without justification, cause, or warning, and this guy constantly messing things up.. I decided it was time to leave that server. (I was there for about a week, and that is where my grudge against Astram comes from, treating his staff members like crap.) Dev Twaina 5 minutes later ![]() New style, it was pretty neat. I don't quite remember this one, all I know was five minutes after quitting Reamzonia, Callimuc found me and got me hired. The level editor was different, as well as the tileset. Honestly, it was amazing. I loved it there. The only downside was Callimuc was usually busy and couldn't reupload my graphics until days later. By this time I believe I was working on Type1 tileset doing my own thing making Super Mario World. Cat told me about her friend ZeroG and eventually I left Dev Twaina for ZeroG's server, Frontier. I had already started Super David K? World on Dev Twaina, which ZeroG had already given me a gravity script for before I had left. At this point I've notified an iClassic staff with 88 images of tile errors to help improve their server. Reported a few hackers. Suggested a bunch of ideas that weren't listened to but easy to do. All that good stuff. I believe I sent it to the email also. (Whether or not the listened I don't know, they didn't seem interested)

![]() ![]() **** gets real. ![]() Graphics and Leveled Image by ZeroG Out of all the servers, this one looked the most complete. It was a pure quest server, the only staff member I saw was ZeroG, and I believe he was happy I came along. As was I for coming. He was busy, but still had the time to upload... It didn't stop there, I was able to work on my own graphics, my own projects, while helping him with his own projects and graphics. I was ready to try GS2. (Had to do a hell of a lot of surveys to get Gold). As young as he was, he could, and most likely still can, program better than I at most math related things (there were few things I could do that he couldn't). Anyway, he is the one who brought me back up to speed with GS2 and I started getting use to it like GS1. Having learned Visual Basics and C Programming, I kind of got the gist of it. ![]() The Super David K? Adventures! This was going to be in a TV in the insane asylum quest for fun. ![]() Inside The Super David K? Adventures house. ![]() Insane Asylum Mandy was my love. ![]() So, I started on the Insane Asylum. I idolize people such as The Mad Hatter and The Joker very much. What I wanted to do was create an Insane Asylum where you walked in, and somehow they thought you were a patient there. The whole storyline was to escape the insane asylum and have a wide variety of things to do. This is where ZeroG created Mandy and I wanted to see the script. Slowly ZeroG helped me refresh my memory of GS1 and caught me up on the basics of GS2. Seriously, for the most part, the insane asylum was only one room. I spent 2-4 months in one room. I did make an outside, and spent a few days creating three other levels for it, but that was my private room. It was nothing but testing, and Mandy, my assistant NPC. ZeroG also came to visit often too. Really the only thing I did besides a little GS2 was the graphics. ![]() Example of a street or bricks from the tile-sheet I've created. I didn't think of an NPC to be used for shading so don't mind the top. ![]() You can't really see the detail in the picture. Sadly I created a bunch of tools to use in the hospital ward, but everything seems to be missing. I can't find the original hard drive. Also, I did some things in Testbed but they deleted everything so I lost most of my programming. (My hard-drive was wiped three times and I got a new computer last year due to the lemon law. It had more problems than only the hard drive.) ![]() Pet System My dream goal. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() While working on the Insane Asylum I also extremely badly wanted to recreate a pet system, like the "Kuro", as I knew it. Not a transformation system. I first started with 3D graphics, which didn't come out so well transparency wise... I worked on it slightly on Shaded Legends but not too much. My lack of math stopped me from completing it, as well as not being able to figure out the blocking system. ZeroG and Thorr helped me out while working on this project. The pet basically followed you a set distance you gave it, could walk, could idle, could talk, and you could control it. While controlling it you'd be able to make it talk, attack, and do whatever it could do with commands. It could also patrol path from point A to B to C to D then back to C to B to A and restart or patrol area which is point A to B to C to D back to A and restart. Eventually I was going to make it attack, fight, and sit. Commands would have replaced the GUI I created for it. The pet always stays on the server (probably a bad idea) and if you clicked it while online it would say the owners name, or it would say "My owner is offline!". Although the image kept disappearing.. probably because the player was offline and the attribute of the pet was then gone. I'm waiting to see if I should put my pet system up for grabs.
I would love to see it to be completed.

2011 - The Beach
How romantic! So, I recalled seeing a moving beach on an old server. I asked around and no one seemed to know what I was talking about or how to reproduce it. (I even asked a few people on the forums). Anyway, Callimuc handed me the hammer script I believe that came from Dusty. From that I figured out how to use updateboard and level.tiles. It could probably be done better with images, but I made a beach the way I semi remembered it. The SL version I swear had Seashells. Thank you Killa Be for letting me use Bensor's server. I give to you "The Beach". Essentially I took what I've learned from the hammer script after creating a bunch of other NPCs with it and created 8? different levels. I grabbed the arrays in Graal Editor, having to use my mothers computer, and kept sending them to my self via skype. It was a long and tedious process. The end results could have looks nicer and smoother, but I wouldn't recommend many levels using this tactic. It can get laggy. Once again, the beach level and scripts are inside the zip.

2011 - Frontier
2011 - Frontier
Noob Quest ![]() Blood gfx (PSD) and Gnome Head Edit by David K? Inside tile gfx and programming by ZeroG While I was playing Frontier, ZeroG asked if I wanted to help him create graphics for his Noob quest. As I learned GS2 I eventually started helping create his noob quest on the Noob side, while he programmed for the Gnome side. Noob4lyfe. Scene, ganis, and vents by David K? His server, as small as the area was, had been the most complete of all of the ones I've been on previously Everything revolved around questing, so I was happy to have been able to help... To finish the gnome/noob storyline I made a shop and a few more images for ZeroG to use. Metal, Matchbox, Powder, a 3D hat, a 3D button and a metal door. iClassic Hiring The Jukes https://sphotos-b-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/312034_185166781552346_6086647_n.jpg (Unsupported image host) I hosted a drawing contest on iClassic. 7-8 winners. Only three picked up their prizes though. (I had help farming it) Around this time iClassic announced they were hiring a programmer. When I heard of this I had my doubts but I wanted to at least try and make the team. Knowing ZeroG was very good, I forced him to try also. ZeroG is very friendly but also very shy. He doesn't put himself out there and make him self know, so I do it for him. ![]() The first thing we had to do was create a trigger from one level to react to another level (I think). Whatever it was, it had to do with a quest-line, and I finished it with barely any help. The hirer said it was good but should have been done another way. My reply? "Wut?". (Not my actual reply.) ZeroG had also submitted and passed. He was then instructed to make a party chat system. I believe he was given three tasks, and he completed them all. The end results being him the winner and being told he did the best out of everyone. But was told they were no longer hiring. Yeah, I put him through that. I'm sorry ZeroG. I probably hurt your confidence even more. Thing was, I knew you could do it. Testbed I hate you. ![]() I had also created a teleporting gani and animaiton for a staff system on Testbed before it went the first time. (People kept constantly warping to me and bothering me, the system kicked everyone out of my level if I was in it and was set as well as other things. I had also banned some people.) ![]() Anyway, I quit after my stuff was lost. I'll post some of the stuff I was working on. I also had an idea of a 3D server or game type server. I liked the first image body image better, but at first I wanted a custom body with joints. (I didn't work on lighting or shadows on the first.) I had also made a movement system, but not well. I believe I quit Graal after I lost all my work. ![]() I keep trying to resize the images, they keep blowing back up. ![]() ![]() ![]() This last one was only for fun. This is how I made the UnLoved graphics. ![]()
