Hm, the public enroll option is ment to try to even out squad matches. I guess if we see a problem, we could look into restricting joining of non-squad players to after the game starts or only allow them to join if there is uneven team numbers.
This is for those who like a practical situation (For those who like seeing a situation, or did not understand my first paragraph):
Lets say we have two squads (lets use my 2 squad tags)
'Majere' decides to attack spring which they have 5 squad members in the lobby and ready to join. 'Lazy Devs' (the owner of spring) has 8 squad members ready. Right now 'Lazy Devs' has the advantage due to players. Now, lets say we have 5 players who are not apart of Majere and wish to play to help out. The system could restrict it so the first 3 can play for Majere to even out the odds.
There is an argument that I can hear people telling me: "We have more people, why can't we use that to our advantage to win?" My polite answer would be "Would you like competition?" Without competition, trust me, there would be no prizes.
Now, changing the system like this has some negative effects:
-If we change the system so it only allows squad members to join, team numbers per game will be uneven which larger squads could just destroy the smaller squads.
-If we change it to my idea then there could be an attempt to try to play the system by having an influx of squad members joining just after the game starts to prevent the other team from getting those extra people. We could count this as cheating and punish the whole gang but that would be too much to handle for our GP Team when they are responding to reports and doing their regular patrol.
Anyway that is my view of this situation at this time. Feel free to leave constructive criticism about it.
