Special Forces/4SF is recruiting!
Hi. I made it a point to eventually take a break from sparring to create a tower guild, and four days ago I went ahead and did that. Through these first four days of seeing what towers have to offer, we picked up 43:31. We already have a really strong core of players. Most of us are sparrers by nature and we've already proven the point that towers aren't exactly hard. As of right now, we're pretty confident in taking a tower from just about anyone. However, we're really looking for more players who are extremely active and are interested in helping us hold towers. Our current goal is to push towards 1000 tower hours. We aren't in any rush but would like to average around 8 hours per day. We've decided that every Wednesday is going to be a break day for us where everyone can relax and do as they please. Why should you join?
What kind of members are we looking for? We have a core of players in North America who can rush into a fort and take it as we please. What we really need at this point are players from Europe, Australia, and Asia or players elsewhere with very flexible schedules. We don't seek out temporary members. We want people with plans to stick with us for a long time. We really value loyalty. We're willing to give anyone a chance, and you will determine how long you're able to stick with the guild. We don't enforce a "no multiguilding" policy, but being exclusive to our guild (at least within tower guilds) is appreciated. We can't recruit you if you're a member of a competing tower guild, such as Rebellious, Vintage, Mirage, etc. In our four days, I've noticed a strange trend where the tower guild community seems to share around the same handful of members between multiple guilds and it makes no sense to me. We don't want that. How can you join? Enter the house of the leader of our main guild (Special Forces). Read the information there and make sure you understand it. From there, you can either send me a forum PM or leave me a message in-game. It'd be best if you could provide me a list of guilds you've been in and are currently in, and where you are from. |

Hmm, I'm from UK, and it would be nice I suppose to get back into towering, and sounds pretty chill as well. Looking at the members though, it sounds really intimidating. xD

We'll still accept members from NA. Send me a message in-game if you're still interested, easiest way to find me is top of FB spar leaderboard (not trying to sound like a cocky douche, it's literally the easiest way).

Best of luck. Currently running with SON, not sure if thats the competition you had in mind. However, i personally think 8 hours a day is not enough, 20 weeks for 1k?

If you're telling me that it's standard for a brand new guild to establish and immediately hit 1K hours in <20 weeks then I think you're wrong. I'm a lot more focused on building a quality guild and establishing a structure right now, we can get hours as they come. GL with SoN, seems like a good guild. |

In by no means did i intend on saying that new tower guilds should have many hours. But i personally think you set the bar a little low. You should go by week hours instead, so that more hours will be put in on days that you are mostly free (weekends). Also it gives other members the motivation. If you got 8 hours, like you said you wanted, they would slack a bit more, but if you went by week hours, they would push and strive. Then, the extra days off would be determined if they completed it early.

I don't set any requirements for participation. If you join, you tower when you're available. You don't need to stress about it or feel pressured. If ever you are too inactive, we may find a replacement for you. It's that simple really. A few people have asked me if they can eat or sleep, makes me laugh. If any tower guild has to force their players to participate, then they're doing something wrong. That removes all the enjoyment. We're just looking to get in as many hours as possible, not force it. If we have quality members, we'll get as many as we need. |
