http://cdn0.sbnation.com/entry_photo_images/7513325/DSC_4686_large_verge_medium_landscape.jpg (Unsupported image host) http://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/hawken.jpg (Unsupported image host) Check the Vid @ Oculus And the Verge Awards it as the best! Oculus Rift Demo Video (Verge) I'm sooo pre-ordering one, best part is, Development kit costs 300$ only! Consumer build will be 200$~ and will have a larger screen, better display, better sound and a full SDK and Design! What are your thoughts? |

The headset looks redonkulous, if there was a way to hook it up to my consoles and games that supported it then I may be interested. As of now its a cardboard box with duct tape over it and a concept image. |

Still would not pay for a box on my head. I had a headset like that before and it was uncomfortable as hell, it probably makes you queasy too.

PS4 / XBOX (new version) / PS3 (back in 2011) We don't really care about your opinion, just give us reasons why not pre-ordering one. And make them valid.
It has won the Best Virtual Reality Console awards, as a prototype! So what if it was the consumer version?! |

someone's mad "Yes. Simulator sickness will be a factor, and worse for some games than others. The main problem is latency in the tracking / update loop plus update rate (fps), rather than the 3D effect. When I used immersive VR it was 19200 baud tracking and 10 fps - I could do 10-20 minutes at a time, before becoming nauseous, rising to about 30 mins with practice."

First of all, it has the fastest latency ever, 1Ghz for screen + the PCs CPU. 10 FPS? Consumer version will support more than 60+FPS. The 3D effect is parallel / cross-eyed. Which is how you see in real life. Watch the videos I requested to see what I'm talking about. |
