Minecraft Nature Society
![]() Mission Statement: To protect the blocks of nature within the Minecraft world, and promote the growth of all living things on Minecraft. The Minecraft Nature Society strives to keep green spaces green, the critters of the world happy, and maintain a general beautiful world for us Miners to live in. With everyone's support, we can achieve this. Becoming a member of the MNS is easy! Simply follow our guidelines and promote them to others as best you can. Minecraft Nature Society members should strive to follow and promote these rules: Floating Trees: ![]() Floating trees is the biggest issue on the server. The MNS is totally cool with you chopping down a tree for its resources! But taking only what is easily accessible is not cool at all. Unless all the wood blocks from the tree are harvested, you have created a hover tree! Bring a couple dirt blocks and a shovel with you to get up into the tree. Shears will help you rip up any leaves blocking them. You will harvest much more wood in the end by completely clearing a tree. And the most important part of harvesting lumber is to re-plant! Continue the circle of life by planting at least one tree for every one you cut down. Abandoned Workstations: ![]() When starting out on a Minecraft server, the most natural course of action is to start crafting. After all it is in the name! You're going to need a workbench and a furnace. Before placing these down, explore the server a bit. Pick out a nice place where you might want to settle down (making sure its within the server's allowable build locations) and go from there. Almost every house on the server has several of these in them already. Remember that no one else can remove a furnace you place. It will stay there until you personally remove it. Be nice and pick up your rubbish. Pitfalls: ![]() Digging directly down from the surface is not only dangerous for you, but for others as well! You could break into a large opening and fall to your death, or into a pool of hot lava. Any miner or poor critter could fall into your hole you've just created and suffer a horrible death. Cover up your holes with at least a couple dirt blocks to ensure the safety of others. Planting: ![]() Take some time out from delving into the earth for its hidden treasures and enjoy whats on the surface! Plant trees, tall grass, flowers, anything that can grow should be allowed to do so! A barren world is an ugly world. Take care of it! Following these guidelines will ensure we can all enjoy a pretty server. Minecraft isn't about taking, its about giving as well. Have fun and I'll see you around.

Thank you for bringing this up Haro. This is a serious issue and should not be taken lightly. Let's all do what we can for the world, and help make tomorrow a little greener, and safer, for all.

Fixing things like this is all I seem to do when I log on. I heavily support.

This reminds me of a picture of a creeper with this caption "you spoil this pristine world and act like it belongs to you, you gouge out the earth and chop down forests to build your towns, stealing from the earth to create your towering structures of vanity. You kill the animals around you for their hides and meat when you could farm your own food. You ruin our home with no care for nature. Yet you call us the monsters." I loved that. The actual caption was shorter, but I expanded it a bit, |

Screw floating trees. People need to learn how to not **** up shorelines when they decide to dig up the sand:
