LATs: Future Event System Planning
So, we all know deep in our hearts we would love to have an events system, with an events team of staff to host games for people to play. This is fun for both players and the staff! However, I'm sure we can't just jump into systems like this, there are lots of planning to be done first. To this day, the system, along with a few ideas for events, has been brought up many times by many people, and it remains a hot topic. I see future in this topic. Even on Graalians alone, many players have come across many ideas for events. However, who will make up the events in the end, and what will they look like? In this thread, post ideas for an event. You should include both a list of rules and a level or picture of a level to play the event. If you aren't LAT (like me) and want to make a level, take a picture on Graal and use a photo editor to copy and paste tiles into your custom level. Thing you may want to include:
Post your ideas! Don't be afraid if it isn't perfect, we all make mistakes, and not everyone is an artist. To start off, I'll post paintball. Simple level I whipped up real quick, players are divided into red and blue teams. Using only arrows, players will shoot the opposing team members until everyone on a team is hit. Start off with 0.5 health so one hit will kill you. Once dead, you will go into an observer area. (Which I forgot to add, and am too lazy to right now. x_X) Winning team gets a prize. Also, a timer would be used so people cannot wait it out. When timer goes up, it is a draw and nobody wins. The game is then restarted. If you run out of arrows, you should rely on teammates to protect you! Sound fun? |

An events system on iClassic would be really nice. I'm sure the levels wouldn't take long to knock out. I doubt an event system will be put in place soon, unless they have already been working on one. Updates that require advanced scripting are all too rare on iClassic, since fp4, Twinny, Skyld, and Stefan all seem to have lives.

Half of it is the level and the other half is the npc scripts so for a trap u can set a warp zone (offline level editor) or make a npc : if(playertouchsme) {setlevel2 levelname.nw, xpos, ypos; } I think it's like that correct me if I am wrong XP

Using the system is one thing but creating quality Classic (automated) events will be the hard and time-consuming part. |

Era's events system could be a lot better IMO. I'd prefer something different.
