Graalians. If you're unfamiliar with Exadv1's masterpiece, Space Station 13 (SS13), you're in for quite the treat. Without further adieu, I present you the "about" page from the website.
"Space Station 13 is a space themed, top-down 2D multiplayer RPG, developed on BYOND. The game features a staggering amount of depth and complexity beneath crude cartoon graphics. It is a melting pot of ideas and genres, has infinite replayability, and generates fantastic and often hilarious stories.
The game functions in rounds. At round start, every player picks a job as a crew member on the station. These range from high up positions like the captain and heads of staff, to engineers, scientists, medical doctors, security officers, all the way down to the lower responsibility roles such as the janitor and assistant.
The primary goal is to perform your role and help keep the station running in a tidy and orderly fashion, (although this is actually next to impossible). If that wasn’t hard enough, one or more players will be given an antagonistic role at random, and a secret mission that’s very likely to cause disruption.
When the crew aren’t turning on each other through sheer paranoia, they will face various dangers depending on the round: Sleeper Agents hell bent on sabotage, shape-shifting Aliens, RPG toting Syndicate Operatives and more. Not to mention the occupational hazards of working in space: Decompression, Meteor showers, Radiation storms, Airlock mishaps, Rogue AI and Catastrophic engine failure are a few worth mentioning.
These dangers have their toll on the fully destructible space station, often resulting in the death of everyone on board; or for those that survive long enough, a death defying run for the escape shuttle.."
If this sounds enticing, show your interest. I'm willing to teach anyone and everyone how to play! It's a VERY hard game to learn how to play but once you learn, it's amazing and you will play it religiously.
Hope to see you guys in space soon!
