The plan for this would be to show the interactions between the Cowboys, Indians, and (mostly forgotten and ignored) Bandits.
Maybe a decent quest line would work, but that seems too simple. Maybe simple is best though. Not sure yet, but we'll figure it eventually for sure.
I'll make a new thread for it when the timing is appropriate. |

Instead of having the journals "random" you could have the player stumble upon an old slip of paper in an Indian burial ground, and for the other side mabie a wandering horse with a saddle on it that contains the first of many written notes by an old bandit/Cowboy leader (I dont know the name of the proper names for Cowboys, mabie an old sheriff?) The problem is, if the lore is just a background with no incentive for your players to do it than its going to be pointless. Ask yourself what do you want to achieve with this story? If you want to tell the story of ol'west than mabie have the last of the old settlers and the new cowboys trying to rid of them. Instead of having the player choose cowboy or Indian at the very beginning you could make them treverse through both sides so that choosing a faction actually has a meaning. Good Luck with this, it sounds like a great idea and hopefully we can see it implemented one day |
