Itachi Uchiha, Kakashi, and Soushi Miketsukami from Inu X Boku SS, a one-shot series no one has ever heard of. Oh, and Ikuto from Shugo Chara. http://www.myanimesource.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/UCHIHA_ITACHI_RENDER_00152.jpg (Unsupported image host) http://planetrenders.net/renders/albums/userpics/42775/kakashi.png (Unsupported image host) http://download.minitokyo.net/Shugo.Chara.Wallpaper.327694.jpg (Unsupported image host) |

Both of them are older than Death Note, just less mainstream. I'm really not a big fan of Shonen Jump stuff, I prefer anime with more substance (the very very large exception being Death Note, but an anime of that quality is rare for Shonen Jump). I love Sato and Itoshiki-sensei so much because they, more than any other character I've encountered, are the most relatable to me. I heavily empathize with the certifiable hikkikomori that is Sato, the pessimistic school teacher that is Itoshiki, and I really understand where they're coming from. If anyone hasn't I highly recommend watching both these anime, they're not only hilarious but make some rather profound statements about people, society, and just life in general. I particularly recommend NHK, since Zetsubou Sensei may be a little too weird for some and they may not get it. |
