The balancing isn't broken but guns that are more expensive feel like a mere upgrade. The guns could have different movement speed for some balancing. For example, since the "starter pistol" in zone has a slow bullet velocity and some spread, the user may need some extra movement speed to get closer to the enemies. A gun like the Enraged rifle has powerful damage and high bullet velocity. A big gun like that can slow down the user. A player carrying a pistol vs someone carrying a big gun = same speed.

Adapt and play,things are fine,next thing you know they are gona nerf the weapons and start to ruin the simple things that makes the gameplay fun.
Tho i agree with you on the knife it's pretty useless with those stats.
