Another possibility is that it's the power supply. Check warranty on it as well. Depending on the age of the computer it might be possible that some of the capacitors on the motherboard blew or are leaking. Try booting your computer into safe mode with networking and see if you have the same issues. If it works fine in safe mode it might be a driver issue, in that case get the latest drivers for your video card. |

Dust just insulates the computer and makes it hotter which causes the fans to run at higher speeds (which makes them louder as well). Unless the dust build-up is absolutely insane I doubt it's the actual problem. Check the warranty on the actual part and not the computer. It's not unheard of for parts to have 3 or more years of warranty on them. |
