Everquest Next, Revolution of MMOs?
So more information regarding everquest was released, and I'm truly shocked. If it truly lives up to what it says it will do, I think it'll be the most interactive MMO ever created. In another thread I said that Archeage is the greatest upcoming sandbox MMO, but I completely take that back. Everquest Next changes this by pretty much making the whole world shapable by players with stuff like destruction and other things. Recently I've been getting bored of MMO's. I enjoy new ones for a few weeks, but then they start to get dull and repetitive once you've played through them. They all offer unique mechanics and fun things like Guild Wars 2's event system and Tera's action combat, but in the end they're both still made up of content that is consumed and eventually becomes old. Everquest supposedly will consist of player generated and dynamically generated content, so you never go through the same "theme park" content and you feel more into the world you play on. The world is constantly evolving and changing based on players, so you will log in to see new things every day and see stuff change in real time. A dungeon may remain unexplored for months before someone finds it, and they may share with just a couple friends, or they might make it known. Each server would look completely different based on how the players interact with it, so it's not like static content where people will just post locations of everything online. Basically, if I understand correctly, it will never get old or run out of content because it is constantly being reshaped by the players, and dynamically changed. You will always feel like you're still exploring and discovering new stuff due to the way it changes, and a part of the world since you help shape it. It was fun for a few hours, but once you go through all of the bosses it gets old again and just turns into a farmfest. I had a lot of fun playing it, but it got old fast after I fought all of the bosses and farmed the floor level stuff with a zerg for like an hour. The content updates every couple weeks are really cool, but I always end up getting bored of them after a few hours.

it's possible, I've seen a few guildie rangers do it the trick is to use shortbow, keep your pet on passive, kite around it and when she's open to attack, use Sic'Em and call it back after the spell is over even sword/axe can do this well also so many t6 mats ill have Kudzu in like 2 weeks |

Non upgraded camps take me like 30-60 seconds, upgraded ones take like 2 minutes. I use shortbow and longbow, mistfire wolf, toughness signet, the speed one(for mobility/damage), and the regen one. Your pet and the wolf can tank everything while you quickly aoe down the whole camp with barrage/then switch to shortbow. Super fast clear. if it's upgraded, you just pull a few guards at a time. I literally pissed off Jade Quarry last week, at night I would take camps on their BL way faster than they could react. Out of curiosity, is there a faster way to do this, or are there better classes to solo camps? |

The second I thought of destructable environments... Who else thinks it wold be awesome to have a miner/digger/whatever class that can use shovels and stuff for faster digging and skills that allow for seeing through the upper parts of the ground and stuff that would bring digging into the battle? I personally would think it'd be awesome to be an annoying little mole, popping in and out of the ground and taking little potshots while mages try to blast me out of the ground XD |
