Was anyone else surprised when Alumni lost to Mother? I thought Alumni would by far be the winners.

They deserved to win it, they practiced a lot more and have had the same core team members around for a while. We had a guild of individual sparrers who definitely wanted to win, but we all excel in singles sparring and all spar very aggressively and that doesn't work well in this format. They didn't have their best lineup available and sparring anyway, so there isn't exactly an excuse. They just practiced more and probably wanted to win a lot more. It's good proof that "guild sparring" is completely different from sparring.
GJ to Mother and PiNoY, both deserved to win. Anyone with whiner statuses or excuses should be ignored. I said in the my last congratulatory post on GST winners that Mother should be able to win it for a long time, and anyone claiming that PiNoY won because "they're all laggers" is clueless.
Biggest Winners
Clops: Although I think this guy is an idiot for religiously accusing me of using every hack in the book to win spars, and for something he did to my account a really long time ago, he was probably Mother's most consistent player and did well for them
Cookie: She is a beast sparrer and had confidence even when her team was down 0-2 and helped carry PiNoY to their win
Tucker: Had originally asked to join up with Alumni's GST squad but we had no open spots, ended up beating us on another team (easily)
SLX: Had maybe the easiest bracket I've ever seen, but still put together a good team and beat Mother once in the finals
Father: Beat Mother
Biggest Losers
Tae: Hopped between a good 20 GST guilds in an effort to chase a hat and belt that he didn't deserve or get
Anyone who got DQed and tried to blame someone else for it: No explanation needed
Me: 0-2 GST, never reached finals, worst GSer NA
Comyt: Slowly turning into a Shinta of sorts, where he prefers to talk about how amazing of a player he is without taking on the responsibility of proving it
Also, the mixed side had the one hat I've ever seen in a GST that I actually really wanted. Pretty sure it was inspired by Crono from Chrono Trigger.
