Some first day thoughts from your server so far since I don’t want to really bombard you guys with the feedback option in-game!
Maybe to show the concept of healing, consider pots with hearts in the quest of Pvt Torvald elite guards to get the rope maybe? also, npc’s should be able to hurt players by even the smallest possible hitpoint if pots were added. Some of the mushrooms would appear beyond the wall for me which kept them from spawning more often than rats i think, but idk if that’s isolated to me.
Consider rat npc to have a death sound, like a squeal. maybe even alert sound? or not.. they are rats of course xP
Option to turn off music/sounds in settings eventually, would even be great if you can lower certain values.
Would love the Map to close as well after pressing “M” again, instead of having the move the cursor to the bottom right to close it every time. Capitol city map not centered yet
Some quests in the quests logs are missing image icons, Pvt Gunthar’s in particular, maybe a simple Beer image for the bartender ones
Maybe an isolated issue with me, but i was attacked from an npc under the bridge while standing on top of bridge outside castle, after the 2 guards outside castle killed it, i later died and was spawned inside of a wall unable to unstick and without players being able to see me
Pig’s Feast quest could have an exclamation mark to any of the exits leading outside capitol, or exclamation to the mining area in the world map once outside, orr the Lt should state that you need to leave capitol to get there
My player gets stuck when I first go down inside the mine, with only a helmet bought and no pickaxe, doesn’t allow me to go back up the stairs
Some npc sellers like the Fish store in capitol won’t work to sell fish if I click on them, Bartender quest that gives citizenship endorsement won’t allow me to click on him to buy a drink
Consider allowing stores like the Fishery, Bombs, weapons, farm, bakery, to buy your related items for greater coin value than the junkshop/general store
Omg the mounts! in the Draco mount quest and objective is to test a mount, and i was dying to try to get on one of those adorable mounts but i couldn’t :o maybe a little area where you can see how your character looks on the mount eventually
I see empty merchant stands outside the castle, is the original idea for those stands a place such as grocery? Besides looting food items from a fridge, maybe have a horse & carriage that’s timed to come by once a week with those stands full of npc’s willing to sell/buy grocery items, etc. might entice players to stand outside and wait for them until they all sell out again, at least for people wanting to make grants from farming/cooking
Would like Lt Charles to differentiate more than his pvt Elite soldier counterparts than his helmet, the elite soldiers have a meaner helmet xP maybe with color?
Pig’s Feast, first room with bats, bats could be on the sides of the bridge so they detect the player right away, instead of in front of it where a player can walk right past, and bridge could be longer (idk if it’s required to kill all bats?)
Pig’s Feast II dungeon, I didn’t know the room to the right with the revolving spikes was a maze, even with trial error a few times. Maybe a notice somewhere or if char dies too many times “there seems to be a particular path to make my way around this”. simultaneous players showing way around would negate need for this, though
Pig’s Feast II dungeon, booty trapped room with arrow machine could be made “longer” with an “S” shaped walkway? Almost too easy to walk right through unscathed. Room with boss could be a little larger, I’m playing as a ranged character. and I was expecting tables with half eaten food or bacon in the boss room :p
Does each particular item in the game have it’s own weight? Maybe consider a weight system, diff weights. would like a notice saying my character is carrying too much weight at the time I start slowing down as I was confused at first until a player told me to say command “show weight” or something similar. could also be something in the faq room if not
Would like a general/junk store near the Capitol to sell items quickly like the one inside Berry farm. The first house you see outside capitol being a furniture store might be a little odd for new players to expect to go inside and find, with limited gralalts to spend at first
With multiple items in inventory, junk store makes it almost impossible to select the right items you want to sell, it misclicks. Would like a system added eventually to able to select how many items to sell to npc.
In the card game, it was hard for me to spot the stars in the top right corner of the card at first because they blended in, and maybe the reduce the time you need to wait before you can place down a card, sometimes cannot place down the card you want in time and the game will end, need to hold cards down for 2 secs. consider random, even rare or collectible cards to be obtained relative to certain late game quests, npc drops. fairy card, pig card, etc
A Road to the Big City/kaljun quest shows two exclamations from map all the way far left in the sea, although idk if that’s intended
Would eventually like descriptions for Stores, merchants on the map and a better detailed map of “Captiol” sorry ik it’s not capitol and the city is called something else, but I forgot the name >.<
Consider balancing out jobs, with multiple players timed doing diff jobs in 15 or 30 minutes intervals so the gralat reward is around the same or where it should be, a little higher for the normal jobs and a little lower for ones that may sell an expensive pickaxe or tool or have levels. berry formula has literally just been added and 10 berries per jar that sells at $150 is maybe a little too much, so balancing by lowering price of jars sold, making it harder to obtain a single berry, increased amount of berries needed per jar made, or harder to obtain recipes, 1 per fridge loot or obtained through added quests.
I have yet to really get into combat, and I am one to love to pk, will get more into it soon! Awesome job so far really impressed with this server (:
