You might be thinking. Secret Santa is a great way for people to receive gifts in the most honest way possible. Is this system really worth it tho? Na cuz..
1. You're receiving gifts from random people.
What's the point of receiving stupid stuff from other people that you're likely not to wear? Let's say you receive 50 hats, a summation of 6000 gralats, some random furniture/perks, and 2 mounts. You're likely to use at most 6-7 hats, disregard the furnitures, and use up all those gralats anyway (or if you're like me, never use them anyway). The point of Christmas is to receive from those and give to those that CARE for you, not necessarily stockpile on gifts.
2. 10 gifts only
This system is extremely ******ed but also in the way that it only allows 10 gifts daily. The whole point of this system is to prevent scamming and what the heck is 10 gifts per day? You call that a true deterrent of scamming? The limit should not even be there if scamming were the main problem here.
3. No one uses Secret Santa.
Exceptions include rich people (not even all of them). You see many guilds that constitute rich players that exchange among each other because they're rich and build their credibility through their money. But even they do not always use Secret Santa if ever. Around 80-95% of Graal do not use Secret Santa. --> Why? Because all they want is to receive and not spend money and actually get scammed 700 gralats for giving away a gift.
4. 700 Gralats is truly a Scam
Gotta admit. But nothing is more of a scam than buying a gift for 700 gralats. The hypocrisy demonstrated by the Gifting system is just a surefire way for the Graal admins to feed off the revenues of the rich. Better off to live off the risk of being scammed and actually LEARN something from that experience (to not get scammed) than spend 700 x 10 = 7000 gralats on some stupid Gifting system.
While it seems effective, it really isn't. It does almost nothing to the Christmas season lol
