They're dead. What more do you want to make of it? Condemning people who have died isn't going to change anything. A dead man may leave behind a legacy, but it's the decision of those who live who choose to continue it. You can say as much as you want about how bad someone lived, but we all die the same. All I'm saying is to have some simple humanity for those who have died. It doesn't matter who it is, or what they've done or haven't done. Just be courteous to the fact that they're no longer here, even so if they have done bad within their lives, what have you to worry of them? They cannot harm you if they are not alive. Will those people crawl out from their graves one day and continue their misdeeds? Highly unlikely.

I twisted no one's words at all. Not sure what you're referring to.
Third-degree murder. Then why didn't he? Irresponsibility and lack of judgment due to the alcohol, in which the blame ultimately lies with him. It was his truck. Either he was driving them home and being an idiot, or he wasn't driving the truck - and no one else would be driving it either, considering they were all intoxicated. |

I'm not condemning him, I'm just surprised that anyone would sympathize with this person after killing himself, two friends, and leaving his family - as well as his friends' families - in utter emotional devastation due to a stupid decision that was ultimately his fault.

So someone decides to do something extremely stupid like racing a train with your car as well as drinking and driving and I'm supposed to feel bad when they die? I'm sorry, but if you don't have any regard for your own life and the lives of the people you are driving then why should I show any sympathy when you die?

Welcome to reality. How the families of those who were affected choose to live their lives, is entirely governed by them, and them alone. No one else can tell them how to think, or how to feel or dictate their actions from this point on (especially someone who isn't here any longer). You cannot keep placing blame on someone who has died, because you may as well say its the moon's fault the sun isn't shining. It's just pretty ridiculous to keep those accusations, but nonetheless: how they gather this experience into their general philosophy is their matter. Or they may see no impact from it at all. Who are we to decide for them? Do you have plans to arrest this dead man and incarcerate him by due law for his actions? For leaving behind his children without the thought of them in mind? No, of course not, because he's dead as I've said countless times already. The least, what I am saying, that people should do is have respect. You can't make anymore mistakes in death. Getting in that vehicle while driving under the influence was something he did while he was living. The only time you'll see dead people continue killing and harming people after they've died are in movies and television. This poor man is still suffering criticisms for things that are already over. Let it go, and take what learning you need from it.

Death is not grant you a clean slate. Your actions in life define who you are. This man did something incredibly stupid killing himself and 2 others and leaving fatherless children at home. I have no respect for someone that is dumb enough to endanger the lives of others by driving drunk, so why should I show respect for a man that did this and murdered 2 other people in the process? |
