Laziness was not it, I assigned one person to do it. And I think the graphics that were put out were pretty damn good so there isn't much reason to complain. It is not "racist" that we didn't do as much for CNY as we do for 4th of July. It's just our entire graphics team is american, so naturally more will be done for the holiday we actually understand. Not only that but most of our player-base is american, so once again it would be natural to put more effort into the holiday that most of our player-base is accustomed to. This goes with Australia Day as well. I'm not going to assign a bunch of people to do a holiday that most of our player-base knows nothing about, or even when it is without looking it up on google, when we have holidays coming up that we plan to do a lot on. I'd be grateful if I were you. I mean, the only reason Australia day or CNY had items was because it was requested. We could, ignore your requests, but we don't. So please be a little more understanding that we have a very small development team, and very big goals for updates to come. I plan to at least make sure something is done for all the holidays players request. But you really dont need a full furniture set and 10 different hats that 90% of the world won't even be let out of school early for.
If you guys want to see what our chinese new year could be like if our team really didn't care, feel free to log onto classic and visit their Onnet Town General Store. |

This has nothing to do with non-american countries... my staff work and go to school. Just because China has their new years a month late doesn't mean Americans are out of school. We don't get other countries holidays off. So as I stated before... be happy we were able to get what we had done. You all can submit stuff as well. Nobody is stopping you from working on things as well. Just some food for thought. |

The graals should have news updates for like "Want to send in some Chinese New year stuff? email __________" If you spread the word I bet many would love to send graphics in, they just don't know if you're doing the holiday or not. Obviously the graphics staff were busy, that happens but if they ever need help just do a news update and I bet tons will send some stuff in :0

http://gyazo.com/20ff810e0abbcb68b8c9981a897d6e8d.png (Unsupported image host) This is a screenshot of the released merch incase anyone is interested. I think that is enough for a quaint little holiday that no iserver has ever actually done a lot for. Seriously in the four years or so that this holiday has been celebrated this is about what has been put out by most servers, I can barely see how it doesnt meet expectations, unless you guys need a hat. |
