Just a general "rate my PC" thread.

I don't know a whole lot about these fancy machines so I was hoping you guys could help me assess my PC.

I'm looking to play low CPU-intensive games like Terraria and Starbound.

Just wanna make sure before I buy a game and realize it runs like total garbage on my PC.

I remember when I tried to play Minecraft on a Acer Aspire 1...

I still have nightmares...

Is this good enough?  

Needs more!

Sorry. I misinterpreted the thread topic.  

If you've got questions regarding your own PC and it's capabilities feel free to post here.

But first assess mine  

My laptop is a piece of crap and it can play Terraria. It does lag slightly like when you're running really fast in a direction or it's transitioning between different levels of the underground, but overall it runs pretty smoothly. I disabled the background and it boosted the performance significantly. Were you asking if your computer can run Terraria or games like Terraria?  

Well I was thinking about getting Starbound which is pretty close to Terraria.

My laptop isn't exactly a price of crap, it's pretty new actually.

Just wanna make sure before I blow $15 on a game that may or may not work on my PC.

Terraria didn't run half bad on my Acer Aspire One...

I'm guessing my PC should be fine but better safe than sorry.  

Your PC can probably play most games on low settings. Even graphically intensive games should run on the lowest settings, but you'll get semi low framerates.  

I couldn't see it running any high end game released past 2012, even on low settings.

It should run most Valve games though. Which are the best...

I don't see it not running Terraria. Your computer is far faster than minimum requirements.

I have a far worse laptop than his computer and I can run new high end games on lowest settings at 20-30 fps.

intel pentium dual core 2.0 GHZ

4 GB RAM

Intel HD 3000 Graphics

GW2 lowest settings(textures and object LoD on max) 30 fps
Tera lowest settings(textures at highest) 30 fps
Archeage lowest settings 30 fps
Warframe lowest settings 50 FPS
Vindictus @60 fps almost highest settings  

By high end games I meant spec demanding games like Battlefield 4.

I'm not too familiar with the games you listed though.  

I play Skyrim near flawlessly on medium settings on my $300 laptop with an AMD A6, AMD 8250 and 4GB of RAM. So yes if my crappy laptop can run Skyrim yours can run the games you listed.
