I've had this idea for ages, now that there's a forum, what the heck.
So, I was thinking to make the game more entertaining, there could be a spar tournament system. There would be a spar tournament board in the arena, and separate boards you can buy as furniture and access from your house. What I was thinking is that people who are given authority to start tournaments can set them up, with a wager that people have to pay to enter a tournament, a set amount of wins or ratio someone must have in order to enter, and other restrictions. The board will also say how much time is left until the tournament starts, and once the time is up, the players will receive a message saying their match will begin in 30 seconds. The tournaments will be seated randomly, and so will the "byes" that players will have if there is an amount of players that doesn't fit the normal tournament size such as 64 or 128. These matches will be played in private rooms like the GST, although people won't be able to view them until the final four are in play. Once a full round is over, there is another 30 second break until the next round begins. Once the final four are in play, these matches will become best 2 out of 3, to establish the better player.
Once there is a winner of the tournament, their prize which could be gralats, furniture, hats, heads, bodies, or any combination of those, will be given to him/her. I am unsure if this is possible, but if it can be scripted to give the player the items immediately after winning the tournament, that'd probably be a big help. Once a player wins the tournament, their name appears at the bottom of the screen like when someone had found their 50th egg in the Easter event saying "<Player Name> has won the tournament" or something like that. Going back to restrictions, it could be set to distribute gralats to players based on where they placed, or just all to the winner, or prizes set for different places such as "1st place:wizard hat 2nd place: wizard body". Also, there would be a statue of the most recent tournament winner in the arena.
So that's that. Large idea calls for lots of scripting, so if it were to take effect it would take a long time. But I think it will be one of the greatest events on Graal to date.
