Well, I think that idea would work provided Zone had the player count and the separation in players to do this. On a good day, zone hits 150-200 I notice, and even this is rare. I am not up to date, but has zone established a sparring community at all with these players? When I log in, all I see is events and people lounging around waiting for events. I could see that working with iEra, but with iZone, I fear that with the player count being what it is, there will most likely just be one person who wins all the spars and eventually no one wants to spar in that room anymore just making it an obsolete feature. |

But then again, not trying to slag off Classic or anything, but they have 1000+ players on everyday and the were whole towns that weren't really being used at all besides for towering, Snowtown and Deadwood. TL;DR I'd rather have it there and say it's obsolete, then not having it there at all. |

I still think it is a terrible idea. With less players, it makes it way easier to abuse and potentially boost in. What happens when you have a friend that doesn't care much for his/her ratio and has no gralats to lose? Boosting. It just encourages wrong doings to me and with a low player count that zone has, it becomes easier to abuse. My solution however, which won't fix all of the issues, but at least most, is to have a spar win requirement to use this room. Perhaps 500 or 1k spar wins in order to use the room. This in turn will reduce boosting off new players, boosting off of people that don't really try (1k wins in zone is actually quite a bit) and boosting off of random players by trickery or what not. This still leaves the problem of the fact that there will most likely still be one or two people dominating the room and it becomes more of a hassle than a reward to anyone else which I hate. I believe all things that earn you money should be attainable by everyone regardless of skill or play time. |

Alright, what I conclude then is that, for now this idea should be put on a To Do List and come back to it again in a couple months. Why? Because the new content that is being developed will have been done, Delteria will have been released (I'm assuming) and all the servers should have a stable playercount of loyal players and those who like to play in all of the servers. If Zone still has a low playercount in a few months, and i'm talking roughly 2 - 300 players, then maybe this idea should be left alone, because it seems the problem is the low playercount and how there will be one sparrer who would dominate the room, but if not, and quite a few players have made a name for themselves in Zone sparring, then I don't see why this idea shouldn't be added, following on to the restrictions you and I have posted. (1k spar wins minimum etc.)

Thanks for your opinions on the idea. There are good and bad points to this which would need weighted out before any more progress would be made. |
