What would be brilliant would be if they introduced a legitimate way for people to sell their art to other players (customs, hats, whatever) and skimmed a percentage of each sale. But hey, logic and graal, oil and water.

The bottleneck in this design is the hand checking of each piece, but that is already the case in the current system. Players would be able to ply their artistic skills in the game for a reasonable (potentially regulated) rate instead of feeling like they're constantly being under duress. They could have a public database of registered artists in the game with examples of their style and viewable portfolio. This design would do several things more efficiently than the current system:
If there's interest in the idea I would be happy to go over a working model or come up with some more bullet points... but for whatever reason when there's money to be made, it seems difficult to get the ball rolling here. |
