Everyone at my school was talking about it, but unlike the other person who said the same thing, I heard nothing but negativity towards it. I've been considering getting it, but I'm not sure what features would justify giving up my jailbroken 5.0.1 firmware. I'm leaning more towards upgrading to iOS 6 and jailbreaking it again, but they both seem like viable options. Any recommendations?

They always do something in an update I don't like which is why I'm skeptical about downloading new updates. I'm definitely not even considering it right now though until they make an untethered jailbreak for it.
