I run into a lot of cases where people have their own router, and a box provided by their ISP that also acts as router instead of just passing the connection through to the router. |

I can't switch ISPs, there's no lines to fix. You, on the otherhand, are most certainly dealing with a damaged line of SOME sort. Or if it's not that, then a TON of people torrenting off your wifi or something. Call Comcast and they'll most certainly(even if they put up a bit of a fight) fix the issue eventually. |

Hopefully Google's new Fiber service will become successful enough so that even if it fails in the long-run, it gains enough attention to have your average American know they can get much better at a much cheaper rate. |
