The quest writers position was a bad idea... or used poorly, at least. Many of the people that were hired had average writing skills. The overdramatized everything and pretended they were good with their writing, but when you really read it... it wasn't great. The problem was they had them individually try to come up with a story. The story's the hard part and should involve the cooperation of many people, just like story writers in real life. Writing it is the easy part. We had young people as quest writers who didn't know correct grammar uses or spellings, along with them creating their own story which was usually overdramatized and complex. Then there was the lack of everything getting completed. Levels needed to be made, GFX probably needed to be created, NPCs needed to ne scripted, and so on.
