"Simple" phones like iPhone and Windows Phone get old real fast. They're just boring all around. Simple is better for older people hence the original purpose of this thread. It's not like Android is hard to use, it has more freedom and options, but it wouldn't be my first recommendation for an elderly woman. |

By the way, does your Grandma need a touch phone? Get her a simple flip. It sounds as if you're trying to get her a un sophisticated smart phone, which are few in numbers. Get her something where she can call and text. I doubt she'll use any other features. |

She wants new stuff, something 'touch'. The only thing that makes my dad want to buy her an iDevice over an android is because of facetime being easy to use, so she could call us for free(just trough internet) etc... My dad wants to buy her an 4/4S. I would rather buy an used iPad 2(for the facetime, other features) and as she needs a new phone, an android, because they're cheap, amazing. Google phones look amazing... I'll tell ya guys when we found what to buy. And yeah she likes innovative stuff (untill now she always had a 'normal' nokia or whatever...) But yeah, as stated above, she learned how to use a pc, so I think she can learn how to use a touch phone and its features. |

Hey everyone! I'd like to thank you for your recommandations, and to tell you that after many tries we ended up buying her the HTC Windows Phones 8S (HTC WP8S) which is incredible for his price/quality. Thank you all! Windows 8 on the phones/tablets is actually really easy to use=p. |

Good choice, but in my opinion, a Lumia 620 would be of been a better handset for a mid range windows phone experience due to the amazing exclusive apps Nokia is providing to its customers. Plus of the better hardware that Nokia brings to the table over a company like HTC, whose hardware isnt all that much reliable. I got a HTC 8x after i sold my Galaxy S3. Dont regret it one bit, but id rather have a Lumia 920. Too bad it isnt for Verizon.
