the military behind the coup urged folks to stay at home, while the government encouraged folks to take to the streets. no doubt this contributed to the death count, but it doesnt help the military behind the coup at all if they are the ones that killed civilians. |

Had to call all my relatives since most of them live in ankara and istanbul, my favorite aunt couldnt sleep at all because they bombed a police academy close to her house so I was pretty damn worried and still am. All on erdogans side here, I think he did a good job on telling the citizens to go out and protest, he didnt force anyone. They did it because they wanted to imo so no one is at fault here. |

that and hes a corrupt ****. with that said, i dont really support the military personnel who commited treason. this wasnt a normal coup attempt. |

However what is most peculiar is the illegal entry of oil from ISIS into Turkey. While airstrikes against the terrorists where done occasionally, they never targeted ISIS oil tankers until Russian involvement in the matter. The week Russian jets destroy hundreds of oil convoys heading to Turkey, the Turkish Armed Forces take down a Russian jet not longer in Turkish Air Space. |
