everything is so distant i feel alienated from graal, graal has always had one format pretty much every server follows.

The land is big and wide you can explore easily.
Their is always a center chosen by players to hang out in such as graal city,town center,era city or whatever you call it .
the old map had it all , a nice center were players could communicate and had everything near them like a city
Such as trade tables,pets,missions,robots ect. + u are flown right in that center after completing a mission so everything is all right.

What we wanted was to remove some of those buildings south and up north of the map that were taking up useless Space
Though don't make the map too small because we need areas to get trash.

Id say multiple planets would be a good idea aswell, skyworld can be the graal city of zone while other planets could have their own themes, creatures and history with quests inside them such as:

The government Of Zadka have been breaking international space laws and are creating super weapons to Conquer the universe, you unknown must go to the planet and bring your friends to defeat them by breaking into the research facility and destroy their shield reactors, and then set a bomb on it and escape in time but watch out for the sentinels who will shoot you the minute they see you

The tiles need to be improved im thinking a tron looking tileset
Anyway either go back or reunite all the islands together and reform that towncenter you had in the last gmap.

Apparently you never played zone when it was first released. Also if you go through the zone forums on here you will see they wanted the map to be like it was when it was first released which is what we did minus the connected areas. The connected area are being worked on right now and everything is being put closer together.

About the planets though I think we can create some planets with unique creatures on it. Although I would need assistance from the community to help create those.

There are too many style clashes. You have the original zone tileset, with all these bright playermade hats, those metal tables and chairs that are shaded and coloured in a way that makes it contrast with absolutely everything around it, and then you have the giant, bright red casino.

The main hub/mission/info/trade building was perfect as the starting area, it was everything around it that needed to be brought in.
The new map takes way to long to traverse since you need to run back to the teleporter every time. It also seems weird having each area for specific things like jobs/shops.

The nighttime is good though. Bring back the old map, add the nighttime effect and then edit parts of the old map. The map didn't need much changing, mainly just the tileset, or if you have nobody to do that then at least start changing small things like images. Specifically the trees that don't even look like they were made for that tileset.

And unless you plan on making a new tileset have the graphics team try to replicate zones style, because at the moment none of the new items/hats/furnitures that aren't from the original zone match with anything. It's like if classic had era's road tiles in a random area, it would not make sense, I feel the same way when I see a colourful, low detailed, AA'd graphic placed next to a low saturated, many coloured, full of noise zone tile

I really don't like the idea of a skyworld. I wish it were just on the surface of the planet, so that walking around and exploring could feel less literally artificial.

Also, Tashkin, if you want ideas for new explorable planets, here's one. A planet that's futuristic, but not in the way the rest of the server is. Like, maybe a steampunk era occured on this planet, and then that influenced the advancement of technology towards highly efficient fuels, highly advanced manipulation and manufacturing of chemicals, powerful weapons and armor that work on principals derived from hydraulics, so on and so forth.

I don't see anything in any of the posts on this thread saying anything about getting the staff team to be more consistant with their graphics, or saying that you are considering to change the map back. The only thing I said in my post that you have said in this thread is the nighttime, which I actually said looked good and that was all.

The furniture i'm talking about is the overworld furniture, not the bright green and red couches used in the houses that weren't on original zone as Lollo made them before the server was released to the public.

Changing the graphic of tables and chairs isn't something that needs to be put into development or "worked on". It can be done within an hour, and as they have been on the server without being changed for a long time, (the trees since the server was released) so I don't understand the reason to wait.

There are very few who use your zone forum, and they are most likely the ones that only play zone. If you want the majority of people to be more aware of what you are doing then post it on graalians because more people will see it.
