Nah, doesn't really clear my question. If I have a problem , or if I had one I always pmd staffs , some replied send an email. Well, I sent one. That's bs what bigfoot is saying , people praise him for his reason , I don't. I still stick to this : Staff list should be re - added... |

If you're willing to make something and put it on the server, your work is (obviously) open to criticism/praise. You should be mentally equipped to deal with a bunch of 14 year olds calling your hat "****" if you're an Admin. Sounds to me like they're just annoyed of answering questions over and over again. It's not like they consistently check the report/feedback logs anyways, since most of the problems (speed hackers/glitches/cheaters) go unnoticed.

As for GPs, they shouldn't really have to explain to the players who ask them directly why they/their friend have been banned, that is an issue like many that should be sorted out with the higher ups through email, so ya ur right, it probably is annoying the speedhacking thing well, either nobody is online or its out of the GPs power. I'm not suggesting the GPs don't even bother, but im pretty sure those who do speedhack/cheat/whatever know how to ban evade hence why they don't look like theyve been banned in the first place |

Pros of having a publicly available GP list: -Players can easily search someone knowledgeable of the game for their questions. Cons of having a publicly available GP list: -Spam sent to GPs: Messages like "Hi", "What's up", "Can you host events" etc. These distract GPs from their more serious tasks. PM messages should be the last thing they check after reports, uploads and feedback. -Creates the illusion that certain players are more powerful than others. -Staff can easily be harassed. There's a notable history of players verbally assaulting staff members. Removing the list does not prevent so but dramatically it. Newer staff members have also been victims of hacking attempts. The transition from player to staff member should not be too over-encumbering and having them change the password of all their accounts, set up a proxy, etc is not an experience they should be forced to do. -Hackers, sexual predators, etc can add the entire GP force to their friend list. They are much more prone to their misbehaviour when they know that no one is online to stop them. And this paragraph is for those who want a staff board so they know who to criticize for their work. A GP member's performance cannot be judged by a player. Their warn/ban history is not disclosed to the public. Moreover they are 99.9% stealthed. Figuring out who banned who is purely speculative and having a board narrow it down to 20+ names won't help you. |

I think it was answered in previous threads, I believe it was about popularity or fame something like that. Better to keep the GP's anonymous to avoid harassment, spam, etc. But in my opinion, at least keep a Staff Board like how every damn game has one. |

Another negative is that; when a staff is fired, they would be removed from the staff board. One week you'll see them on the staff board and another week you'll see them off. It's embarrassing and people notice. It's a mild form of public ridicule and the players shouldn't be allowed to see who gets fired. It creates gossip and ****. That's just ONE of the many reasons why it's not there. It's not coming back either. To be very professional, we're trying to at least have confidentiality like other jobs. Would you want 3000 people online to know you were fired? Didn't think so. |
