But Ash was a horrible pokemon trainer. I'm not saying Red can't start out as a noob, but it would be nice to see him(and his pokemon) grow into into a badass. You know... like how people play Pokemon. The original was stupid with how Ash didn't attempt to catch any Pokemon, let all his good ones go, and in general won via flukes/asspulls. It'll be a nice change of pace to see a show where the main character even tries to accomplish the entire premise of the universe: catching and training pokemon. You can see his Charmander and then later he has a Charizard so it does look like he'll be a legit trainer unlike Ash. |
