Oh please. Don't continue the horrible auctions. I get that it gets Zone the $ from gralat pack purchases that it doesn't receive at other times, but auctions have pretty much contributed to ruining Zone and making it all revolve around trading and P2W. It only favors gralat pack purchasers or rich players, and contributes nothing but worse gameplay to newer players. Auctions should be held off until Zone can stand on its own feet. Then auctions need to be converted into blind auctions like I had suggested before. Alex liked the idea, but I guess it never was put into action and worked on. But seriously, auctions are terrible for the server. They're only making it worse right now. Auctions are a prime example of how Zone has continuously focused on items, rather than content. All the item does is let a player purchase it. It contributes no gameplay. All these cool auction items are going to waste because they're sold in auctions. Why not obtain them from quests, or do anything to require gameplay to unlock it. I really am sick of Zone being the Graal Mall Server. It's hard to keep interest in a game that doesn't provide any way to play - only items to buy. |

Agreed with Pig. The server is in desperate need of updates right now but instead you are just hosting an auction. For what exactly? What we need is content. We need new things to keep players coming to Zone. That can't be when it's stale in content. Missions are boring and repetitive, PvP is not really fun due to low player base, no new features has been added and the only update we get is an auction on Saturday. Sorry Chelt, I want to see Zone strive and improve, but doing an auction before any content update is making it head down an even deeper hole.

This is ideally what I would like Zone to be, credit to kenovo for the idea. The main GMAP would be the /inside/ of a large ship, sort of like Skyworld, but in a smaller size. It would have all of the essentials like spar, a hat shop or two, missions, etc. The ship would actually function as a ship for the players as a whole. There would be a main hub somewhere on the ship that shows which planet the ship is docked at, and how long it will be staying there. Players can beam down and explore that planet. The GMAP would be an overworld with solid ground (i.e. not in the sky like skyworld) and there can be shops hat fit the theme of that planet. Usually the ship will stay at one planet for a real day or a few, and then all players will be warped back to the ship and the ship will have a new "beam down" location. This gives the opportunity for many diverse planets to be explored, and there can be different cultures and types of items and whatnot. Perhaps the basing system could be 1 or 2 bases per planet, and that squad can "own" that particular planet for the time they're there. I don't know. And staff can add new planets into the mix randomly, and holiday-themed planets, too, if you want to go a bit wild... idk. Seems to be a lot of work, but it's something. Thoughts? |
