Ubuntu and Ubuntu server for clients and servers where I'm at. openSUSE for the Samba DC because openSUSE's YaST is God's err I mean Antago's gift to administrators. Although I'm used to Unity, I think KDE 5 is my favorite at the moment. The only thing I don't like about it is that the windows key can't be used as a hotkey like it can in GNOME and Unity. The rest of the GUI on GNOME and Unity is nicer than KDE but KDE has the best application launcher/start menu imo. Shame it can't be hotkeyed, but then again it wouldn't be Linux if there weren't minor gripes keeping it from being good. CentOS is pretty good as a workstation OS...pretty straightforward. Elementary OS is kind of neat, it's meant to be focused on its UI and functionality. Linux Mint looks pretty cool aswell, another spiffy looking UI. I'll stick to Windows on my home PC. |

I've got a few Linux distros running at home and in the cloud. 1. CentOS Linux on my VPS to run my website 2. Raspbian Linux, a derivative of Debian for the Raspberry Pi, used to run my VPN. 3. Linux Mint, the distro on my laptop. Planning on testing out Gentoo soon. |
