Classes A popular "future improvment" idea among zone players currently is a class system to be implemented on the PvP battlefield. This would allow players to choose a specialization upon entering the battlefield. These specializations would allow players of a certain class to have certain boosts and traits that other classes don't have. They would be Assualt Defense Support and Covert. Here would be my idealistic stats I would give to each class, but this is only my opinion: Assualt= +1 attack damage. Defense= -1 damage recieved from attacks. Support= Max ammo increased. More health recieved from health packs. Covert= Invisible on map from enemies. No notification to enemy team when you take one of their bases. Along with these stats automatically given upon choosing a class, each class also would have many different specializations you can choose from. Specializations would be abilites players pick (only can have one equiped at a time) that would appear as an inventory item on the screen while playing and when used, has a variable recharge. http://s8.postimage.org/peeqa8pyt/Conception_1_Select_a_specialization.png (Unsupported image host) This ^ is an example for specializations in the assualt class. You could unlock specializations in order in one of two ways 1) Unlock specializations in order by racking up kills in that class. EXA 100 kills with assualt would unlock sprint. 300 kills with assualt would unlock flashbang. 600 kills with assualt would unlock bomb. 1000 kills with assualt would unlock jetpack. This would work the same way for all the classes. 2) OR, unlock specialazations by completeting challenges in order. EXA run 1000* tiles far and unlock sprint. Then, use sprint 200 times to unlock bomb. Kill 50 players with bomb to unlock jetpack. Similar concept for the other classes. And of course all specialzations would be balanced. Say although you can use jetpack to easily leave/evade any fight, you can only use it every 90 seconds. Then with sprint, you can't just easily fly over walls to evade, but you can use it alot more, with the cooldown only being 10-20 seconds. The specialization button to press in game could be located dirrectly above the other weapon buttons on iPad. On the iPhone/iPod, it could be located left of the very top weapon button, but game notifications would have to be altered a bit so they dont get in the way. Thats all for my conception thread on classes. Nice idea. This could be implemented with a new leveling system. When starting out, a player could choose what class they would like to be. Then, the level/exp bar would say something like: "Level 6 *exp bar* class" Each level would go to a skill tree (kind of like Skyrims) Once a player reaches a max level, they could then choose a different class, OR stay with what they want. ^_^ |
