I do not encourage you venture in as you can legitimately endanger yourself. It's not cool, it's stupid.
I took a class regarding Cybersecurity with a registered FBI freelance hacker we only referred to as Agent Warner as the teacher. He taught at a nearby college (Bellevue West, if you care). He told us about the dark and deep web, and some of his experiences.
The deep web is pages you aren't meant to access. You facebook profile settings is an example. No one is really able to tunnel into the web page for your profile settings.
The dark web is where most of the scary story stories on YouTube talk about. He always told us that if we ventured into a bad place on the dark web it would be too late to do anything about it. Most of the time tunnelling would give you plenty of viruses. Most of the horror stories you hear about on YouTube of stuff like live murder shows are rare but not anything a common person could dig into.
If you value your identity, you don't go near it. If you ever wanted to be a victim of identity theft, by all means explore and find websites that look like the 2001 official graal guilds websites. They likely have 370 pr0n ads and all kindsa keyloggers, redirects, popups and all that you can possibly imagine.
