Recently I was having issues with my wireless connectivity and this morning I got a call from a person who stated he was a Windows worker at Seatle saying he can fix it. He knew my computer specs,IP and everything so I really thought he worked for microsoft (stupid of me). Then he asked if he can control my computer to fix it. I'm thinking wtf do you need to control it for, Just tell me the goddamn steps, I got suspicious of him and force shutdown my computer as well as hanging up the phone.
Still wondering how he knew all my info....

I'm going to wage he was hitting your connection in spurts with a booter, and that might be why he knew about it and contacted you. There are ways to see computers on wireless connections which you can use to find someone's OS, specs, etc. with just an IP address. If you type your IP in an IP lookup, some sites will return that type of info. As per how he got your IP, he might have set up a website that grabs your IP and stores it in a log. There are a lot of ways to pull IPs. Skype, website logs, Xbox Live, you name it.
Luckily my dad is an IT guy and he completely ripped them apart and made them look like idiots that didn't know what they were talking about, and then they hanged up.

Off-topic, but doesn't the past tense hanged only refer to the death punishment or suicide method? I thought hung was used in every context except the killing procedure, in which it is hanged.
