1) Never turn a phone on for at least a day or two when it has taken in water. It will only further damage the phone. 2) If you have a phone that allows you to remove the battery, do so immediately. 3) Put it in a bowl of rice and let it sit for a day or two. You can still do this to try to get rid of whatever water is left lingering in the phone... but turning it on may have damaged it permanently. 4) Most phones have an indicator inside that changes colors when it comes in contact with water, so they will be able to tell if it has taken water damage or not if you try to get it replaced. |
