If you think it's cool to "hack" an app with 4,000 players then you seriously need a hobby or something.  

If the attack costs more than $10,000 to fix/repair he will be sent to jail I believe.

Can't you just abort the current attack?

No he can't because a ddos is simply sending a load of unwanted data towards the server , when the server receives this data is overflows and can't cope with it which is the cause of the crashing as it can't process it all , you can't take the data back you have to wait until the server sorts through all of it .
